Bicarbonate of Soda Cooking and Backing 200 g: also know as baking soda, is a raising agent; it is used to lighten the texture and increase the volumke of baked goods. When combined with acidic ingredient such as cream of tartar, buttermilk, yoghurtof molasses, bicarbonade of soda causes carbon dioxide bubbles to be released.

These bubble in turn make dough or batter rise wihile baking. To make baking powder, mix one part bicarbonade of soda with two parts of cream of tartar. Bicarbonade of soda is also safe and natural tool to use around the house to eliminate odours. It is ideal to remove stains form mugs, tea and coffee pots, cutlery and stainless stell.

Ingredients: 200 g plain flour; 1 tsp Tropical Sun Bicarbonade of Soda; tsp salt, 125 g butter, 170 g brown sugar, 2 eggs, beaten, 2 cuprs large ripe bananas, mashed, tsp Benjamins Vanilla.

Preparation: preheat oven 180 C. Grease loap pan. In a mixing bowl, soft flour, Tropical Sun Bicarbonate of Soda and salt. Cream the butter and sugar in a separate bowl. Add egges, bananas and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Add bananan mixture into flour mixture and combine until moist. Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake in over for 1 hour and 10 minutes of until toothpick inserted into centre of loaf comes out clean. Enjoy.
